MANOR COLLEGE NAMES FLOYD WOMEN’S VOLLEYBALL HEAD COACH

JENKINTOWN, PA—Manor College Director of Athletics John Dempster announced the hiring of Women's Volleyball Head Coach Christina Floyd.

Floyd spent 2019-2020 season as the NJCAA Region XIX Division III Valley Forge Military College Military College Women's Basketball and Volleyball Head Coach. One of her Women's Volleyball players, Leslliam Vincente-Garcia, was voted to the Eastern Pennsylvania Athletic Conference (EPAC) Division III Second Team.  She was also an Athletic Academic Advisor and sixteen Trojan student-athletes were named to the EPAC Fall 2019 Semester All-Academic Team.

Floyd played volleyball at United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) Division II Pennsylvania State University-Greater Allegheny (2011-2014).  She is currently among school career leaders in the following categories: matches played (88), sets played (277), kills (321), kills/set (1.16), total attacks (1,069), hitting percentage (0.170), service aces (96), set blocks (113), block assists (73), total blocks (192), blocks/set (0.69), points (569.5), and points/set (2.06).  Floyd was voted 2013 and 2014 Pennsylvania State University Athletic Conference (PSUAC) Women's Volleyball Honorable Mention.  She earned PSUAC Fall 2012 and Fall 2013 Semester All-Academic Honors.

She also played power forward at PSU-Greater Allegheny (2011-2015).  Floyd holds the following school Women's Basketball career records in the following categories: games played (97), games started (87), minutes (3,105), field goals made (511), overall field goal percentage (49.5), points (1,225), offensive rebounds (593), defensive rebounds (735),  and overall rebounds (1,328).  She averaged 12.6 points, 13.7 rebounds, and 1.3 steals per game.  Floyd holds single-season school records in overall field goal percentage (53.5 in 2012-2013), offensive rebounds (165 in 2014-2015), defensive rebounds (206 in 2014-2015), and overall rebounds (371 in 2014-2015).  She also has school single-game offensive, defensive, and overall rebounds.  Floyd finished in the top-five in overall and rebounds per game (2012-2015) in USCAA Division II.  She led the USCAA Division II in rebounds per game in 2014-2015.

Floyd was named 2012-2013 USCAA Women's Basketball Division II Second Team All-American.  She was voted 2013-2014 and 2014-2015 Pennsylvania State University Athletic Conference (PSUAC) Women's Basketball First Team.  Floyd was also voted 2011-2012 and 2012-2013 PSUAC Women's Basketball Honorable Mention. She earned PSUAC Spring 2012, Fall 2013, and Spring 2014 Semester All-Academic Honors.

Floyd graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from Pennsylvania State University-Greater Allegheny in McKeesport, Pennsylvania in 2015.  Floyd also received her Masters of Business Administration from St. Francis University in Loretto, Pennsylvania in 2017 where she was also an Athletics Department Graduate Assistant.

She is from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and a 2011 graduate of Saints John Neumann and Maria Goretti, where she played basketball and volleyball.
