MANOR COLLEGE’S WOMEN’S TRACK FINISHES REGULAR SEASON ON THE SECOND DAY OF THE BILL BUTLER INVITATIONAL

WEST CHESTER, PA—Manor College Women's Outdoor Track and Field finished its regular season on the second day of the Bill Butler Invitational at John A. Farrell Stadium, hosted by the NCAA Division II West Chester University Golden Rams.

Junior Lauren Brown (Philadelphia, PA/St. Hubert), senior Aidan Geiger (Glenside, PA/Abington), junior Alexandra Simmons (Cheltenham, PA/Cheltenham), and junior Olivia Morton (Philadelphia, PA/St.Hubert) and ran in the 4 X100 meter relay and finished with a season-best time of 1:11.38, surpassing their time of 1:11.66 on the second day of the Ursinus Track and Field Festival on April 5.

Sophomore Ronise Exil (Philadelphia, PA/Samuel Fels) ran in the third heat of the 400 meters and broke her own school USCAA record with a time of 1:20.60, surpassing her time of 1:20.94 on the second day of he Danny Curran Invitational on March 29 at NCAA Division III Widener University.  Brown made her season debut in the third heat of the 400 and finished with a time of 1:26.14.  Geiger ran in the fourth heat and finished with a time of 1:45.28.

Geiger, Morton, and Simmons ran in the fourth heat of the 100 meters. Geiger finished with a season- and personal-best times of 17.03. She surpassed her season-best time of 17.37 on the second day of the Danny Curran Invitational on March 29 at NCAA Division III Widener University.  Geiger surpassed her personal-best time of 17.31 at the Bill Butler Invitational on April 13, 2024.  Morton made her 100-meter season debut and finished with a time of 17.54.  Simmons finished with a season- and personal-best time of 19.48, surpassing her time of 20.53 on the second day of the Danny Curran Invitational on March 29.

Brown ran in the third heat of the 800 meters and finished with a time of 3:23.81.

Geiger and Simmons ran in the fifth heat of the 200 meters.  Geiger finished with a time of 38.22.  Simmons finished with a season- and personal-best time of 43.19, surpassing her time of 43.48 at the Ursinus Track and Field Festival on April 5.

Geiger became the first Blue Jay to participate in four events.

There were 19 schools and clubs/organizations competing in this Invitational, including NCAA (Divisions I, II, and III) and NJCAA (Division I).  Pennsylvania State University campuses Schuylkill and Scranton were the other United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) schools at this Invitational.

NCAA Division I Lafayette College won the Invitational with 122.0 points.  Manor finished tied for 14th with Penn State University-Schuylkill with 3.0 points.  They were the highest USCAA finishers at this Invitational.

Next Meet: Manor is scheduled to compete on the second day of the USCAA Track and Field Championships, hosted by Hampshire College at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 26.  The Championships will be held at the John G. Hoyt '52 Track and Field Complex on the campus of the NCAA Division II American International College Yellow Jackets in Springfield, Massachusetts.
