SPRINGFIELD, MA—The 2024 United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championship preview, at the John G. Hoyt '52 Track & Field Complex, at NCAA Division II American International College. This Championship will be hosted by Hampshire College.
This will be the Blue Jays' third appearance at the USCAA Track and Field Championship. They also previously competed in the 2023 USCAA Track and Field Invitational, which was also at American International and hosted by Hampshire. Manor also participated in the 2022 USCAA Track and Field Invitational, which was at the University of Albany and hosted by the Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.
The Blue Jays' first event will be in the 4 X 100 meter relay. Sophomore Lauren Brown (Philadelphia, PA/St. Hubert), senior Jessie Dupre (Philadelphia, PA/Swenson Arts and Technology), junior Neysha Medina (Philadelphia, PA/Constitution), and sophomore Olivia Morton (Philadelphia, PA/St.Hubert) are scheduled to compete. Manor's top 2024 time is 1:06.68 on April 6 at the Ursinus College Track and Field Festival (Day Two). The Blue Jays' school record is 1:06.51 at the Middlesex College Invitational on April 15, 2023. They competed in this event at the 2023 USCAA Track and Field Invitational and finished with a time of 1:07.01.
Manor is also scheduled to participate in the 100 Preliminaries. Dupre will be the only Blue Jay running in this event. Her top and Manor's best 2024 time is 15.88 on April 13 at the Bill Butler Invitational at West Chester University. Dupre's personal best time is 15.20 at Day Two of the Danny Curran Invitational on April 2, 2022. She also ran in this event at the 2022 and 2023 USCAA Track and Field Invitationals and posted times of 15.37 and 15.92, respectively. The school record is 14.51 by Chenia Maldonado at Day Two of the Danny Curran Invitational on March 30, 2019. The two heat winners plus the six-best non-heat winning times advance to the Finals.
Brown, Medina, and Morton are scheduled to compete in the 400. Brown will be making her event debut at the USCAA Championships. Medina's only 400 appearance in 2024 was at the Purple and Gold Invitational on March 23 at West Chester. She finished with a time of 1:32.26. Medina finished with a time of 1:24.83 at the 2023 USCAA Track and Field Invitational. Morton's top and Manor's best 2024 time is 1:32.07 at Day Two of the Ursinus College Track and Field Festival. Medina holds the school record in this event with a time of 1:22.48 at the 2023 Middlesex Invitational.
Medina will be Manor's only participant in the 800. She made her only 800 appearance this season on Day Two of the Ursinus Track and Festival and finished with a time of 3:54.08. Brown holds the school record with a time of 3:25.97 at Day Two of the 2024 Ursinus Track and Field Festival. This is the first time Manor will be competing in the 800 at the USCAA Track and Field Championship.
The following are scheduled to compete in the Blue Jays' final event in the 200: Brown, Dupre, and Morton. Brown's top and Manor's best 2024 time is 35.45 at the Bill Butler Invitational on April 13. Dupre will be making her 2024 debut in this event at the USCAA Championships. Her personal best time is 33.32 at the 2022 USCAA Track and Field Invitational. Morton's personal best time is 35.75 at Day Two of the 2024 Ursinus College Track and Field Invitational. She also ran in this event at the 2023 USCAA Track and Field Invitational and finished with a time of 37.43. Maldonado holds the school record with 31.07 at Day Two of the 2019 Danny Curran Invitational.
Bluefield University won the 2023 USCAA Women's Track and Field Invitational.
