JENKINTOWN, PA–Manor College Director of Athletics John Dempster announces its 2024 Women's Soccer schedule today.
The nine-match schedule features six Eastern States Athletic Conference (ESAC) contests. They are scheduled to play three United States Collegiate Athletic Conference (USCAA), one National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA), and one unaffiliated opponents.
The Blue Jays begin its 26th season overall and its second in the USCAA and ESAC at home versus the unaffiliated member Patrick Henry Sentinels on Friday, September 20 at 3:30 p.m. Manor will also travel to play Patrick Henry in its regular season road finale on Saturday, October 19 at 1 p.m. in Purcellville, Virginia. This will be the match-ups between the two schools. The Sentinels were 1-2-1 versus the USCAA in 2023 (all versus ESAC schools).
Manor hosts the NJCAA Division III Lehigh Carbon Community College Cougars (6-6-1 overall and 0-5-1 NJCAA Region XIX Division III in 2023) on Tuesday, September 24 at 3:30 p.m. The Blue Jays lost to the Cougars in its regular season and road opener on October 12, 2023 in Schnecksville, Pennsylvania. Lehigh Carbon has won all five of its matches versus Manor since 2017. The Cougars qualified for the NJCAA Region XIX Division III Postseason Tournament for the first time since 2019.
The Blue Jays play the USCAA Division II Bucks County Community College Centurions (3-9-0 overall and 3-2-0 ESAC in 2023) on Thursday, October 3 (4:00 p.m. road opener in Newtown, Pennsylvania) and Monday, October 14 (3:30 p.m. in Jenkintown). The Centurions swept the 2023 season series versus Manor (October 19 in Newtown and October 25 in Jenkintown). Bucks County leads the overall season series versus Manor since 2009, winning nine (plus one tie) in 11 contests.
Manor plays USCAA Division II and the defending 2023 ESAC Champion Christendom College Crusaders (11-9-0 overall and 1-0-0 ESAC in 2023) on the road on Saturday, October 5 at 2 p.m. in Front Royal, Virginia and its regular season and home finale on Saturday, October 26 at 1 p.m. in Jenkintown. This will be the first scheduled matchups between the Blue Jays and the Crusaders. Christendom also qualified for the 2023 USCAA Division II Women's Soccer Small College National Championship Tournament in Coraopolis, Pennsylvania.
The Blue Jays play the USCAA Division II Central Pennsylvania College Knights (4-4-1 overall and 3-1-0 ESAC in 2023) on the road on Tuesday, October 8 at 4 p.m. at the Skyline Sports Complex on City Island in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. The Knights played the Blue Jays for the first time in 2023, sweeping the season series. Central Pennsylvania was the 2023 ESAC Championship Game Runners-Up.
The Manor Women's Soccer team will be led by sixth-year Head Coach Tom Gangi.
