MANOR WOMEN’S BASKETBALL VICTORIOUS VERSUS MERCER COUNTY COMMUNITY COLLEGE

JENKINTOWN, PA—Manor College (3-8 Overall, 3-8 NJCAA Region XIX Division II) freshman shooting guard/shooting forward Emazhane Livingston (Newark, NJ/Technology) scored 21 points and pulled down 18 rebounds as the Blue Jays defeated the Mercer County Community College (6-13, 5-9), 49-43.

The Blue Jays led after the first quarter (11-6) and at halftime (19-15).  The six first quarter and 15 points at halftime are the fewest Manor allowed this season.  Mercer County sophomore forward Tylisha Livingston led both teams with 12 points.

Manor outscored Mercer County in the third (13-8) and led 32-23 after three quarters.  The Vikings outscored the Blue Jays in the fourth, 20-17.  Tylisha Livingston scored 15 of Mercer's 20 points in the fourth.  Emazhane and Tylisha Livingston paced led both squads with 16 second-half points each.  Manor outscored Mercer County in the second half, 30-28, en route to the victory.

Individual Statistical Leaders: Sophomore point guard Kiara Stoval (Chester, PA/Ursuline Academy [DE]) scored 16 points.  Freshman power forward Allayna Gordon-Staley (Philadelphia, PA/Cristo Rey Philadelphia) contributed 13 rebounds for Manor.

Tylisha Livingston led both teams with 28 points, 17 rebounds, and four steals for Mercer County.

Series Record (since 2002-2003, but, the 2003-2004 season is unavailable): Manor leads the season series versus Mercer County, 16-6, including 11-0 at home.  The Blue Jays have 10 of the previous 11 games versus the Vikings.

Home Record versus Region XIX Division II Schools: The Blue Jays are 61-35 at home versus Region XIX Division II schools since the 2008-2009 season.

Next Game: Manor travels to play Region XX Division II and Maryland JUCO member Cecil College (3-11) 5:00 p.m. Monday, January 28 in North East, Maryland.  The Blue Jays are 0-2 versus the Seahawks.  Cecil College won the previous match-up, 83-81, in overtime, on February 20, 2018 in North East, Maryland.  The Blue Jays are 1-4 overall (1-3 on the road) versus Region XX schools since the 2008-2009 season.  This is a make-up game from November 15, 2018.

Next Home Game: Manor hosts NJCAA Region XIX Division II Bucks County Community College 5:00 p.m. Thursday, January 31.  The Blue Jays are 2-0 overall (1-0 at home) versus the Centurions.  Manor won the previous match-up, 59-19, on January 22, 2019 in Newtown, Pennsylvania.  The Blue Jays won the inaugural home contest versus the Centurions, 74-12, on December 15, 2016.  This is a make-up game from December 15, 2018.
