MANOR COLLEGE’S THOMPSON BREAKS OWN 60- AND 200-METER SCHOOL INDOOR RECORDS AT FRANK COLDEN INVITATIONAL

COLLEGEVILLE, PA—The Manor College Men's Indoor Track and Field team finished its third season at the Frank Colden Invitational at the Floy Lewis Bakes Center, hosted by NCAA Division III Ursinus College.

Freshman Phaizon Thompson (Philadelphia, PA/Benjamin Franklin) broke his own 60- and 200-meter school indoor records.  He finished with a time of 7.56 in the third head of the 60-meter Preliminaries.  Thompson broke his own mark of 7.61 at the Collegeville Classic on January 20.

Thompson became the first Men's Indoor Track and Field athlete to win a heat. He finished first in the 11th heat of the 200 meters with a time of 24.83.  Thompson broke his own school indoor record of 26.91 at the Collegeville Classic on January 20. His time of 24.83 was 22nd overall (out of 52).

Manor did not score at this meet.

Stevens Institute of Technology, a NCAA Division III school, won the meet (out of the 24 schools/clubs/organizations that competed) with 15 points.
