JENKINTOWN, PA—Manor College announces the hiring of Jeff McCann as its first Men's and Women's Indoor Track and Field Head Coach by Director of Athletics John Dempster.  McCann will also coach Men's and Women's Cross Country and Outdoor Track and Field, which made its collegiate debuts in 2018 and 2019, respectively.

His previous coaching experience included: William Penn Charter School Boys and Girls Cross Country and Track and Field Assistant Coach (1998, 2009-2012), Germantown School Boys Cross Country and Track and Field Head Coach (1999-2003), Immaculata University (NCAA Division III), Men's Cross Country Head Cross Country Coach (2006-2008), and Immaculata University (NCAA Division III) Women's Cross Country Coach (2005-2008).

McCann is currently a Residential Mortgage Closing Assistant for Waterstone Mortgage Corporation in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania.  He is also currently the Head Coach for and Founder of OHANKO Elite Running in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

He was a member of the University of Richmond Men's Track and Field team and participated in the 800, 1000, and 1500 meters and earned a varsity letter.  McCann also earned a varsity letter for the Spiders' Cross Country squad.

McCann: "I greatly appreciate the welcoming and cooperative environment at Manor College.  All of the staff and students I have met have been friendly and helpful and I very much look forward to my time working here.  I am excited at the opportunity to help build a new Indoor Track and Field program at Manor College.  I am honored to be the first Indoor Track Coach in the school's history.  I am eager to work together with the athletes and the staff to build a tradition of excellence worthy of Manor College Athletics."

Dempster: "When looking for the new track and field coach, I wanted someone who understood who we are as an athletic department.  Jeff came in and knew what needed to be done and has taken over with ease.  His runners have been nothing but complementary about Jeff and eager to learn from him.  Jeff is a teacher of the sport who puts 100% of his time into developing young minds to give student-athletes the total college experience.  Jeff will also take over Cross Country duties next fall.  I am really looking forward to watching Jeff McCann put Manor College on the Cross Country and Track and Field map."

Manor begins its inaugural Men's and Women's Indoor Track and Field season in Winter 2019.
