MANOR COLLEGE’S FORTESCUE JR VOTED USCAA DIVISION I MEN’S SOCCER FIRST TEAM ALL-AMERICAN FOR THE SECOND CONSECUTIVE SEASON

PITTSBURGH, PA–Manor College senior forward Eddie Fortescue Jr (Blue Bell, PA/Wissahickon) was voted United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) Division I Men's Soccer First-Team All-American for the second consecutive season.  It was announced as part of the USCAA's Fall Championships All-American Banquet.

According to the USCAA web site: "Award winners are nominated by their institution and voted upon by coaches from around the USCAA."

Fortescue Jr. is the first Blue Jay to be voted USCAA Division I Men's Soccer First Team All-American in consecutive seasons since Manor joined the USCAA.  He is the first Manor Men's Soccer player to be voted First Team All-American in consecutive seasons since Mark Colville accomplished it in 2012 and 2013 when they were National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division III members.

Fortescue Jr. played and started in all 16 matches.  He led the Blue Jays in goals (10), points (23), overall shots (82), shots on goal (55), and game-winning goals (three).  Per match, he averaged 0.63 goals and 1.44 points and 5.13 overall shots (3.44 on goal).

He was named USCAA Division I Men's Soccer Player of the Week (October 24-30) for the third time in his career.

Manor College freshman goalkeeper Aiden Holman was voted 2022 USCAA Division I Second-Team All-American. Blue Jays freshman midfielder/forward Rolph Miot and sophomore goalkeeper Jonathan Ventura-Garcia were 2021 USCAA Division I Second-Team All-Americans.

Under 13th-year Head Coach John Dempster, the Blue Jays finished the regular season 7-7-2 overall (4-3-0 Eastern States Athletics Conference).  Manor won its first ESAC Men's Soccer Postseason Championship.  Manor won the regular season Eastern Pennsylvania Athletic Conference (EPAC) in 2012 and 2013 championships when they were NJCAA Division III members.The Blue Jays previously won a conference postseason championship when they were in the Eastern Pennsylvania Collegiate Conference (EPCC) in 2007.
