MANOR MEN’S SOCCER PLAYERS KALLO AND VENTURA-GARCIA FINISHES AMONG FINAL 2019 NJCAA DIVISION I STATISTICAL LEADERS

JENKINTOWN, PA—Manor College Men's Soccer (6-8-0 overall, 0-5-0 Region XIX Division I) freshman midfielder Jonathan Ventura-Garcia (Philadelphia, PA/Esperanza) and freshman goalkeeper Moussa Kallo (Philadelphia, PA/Trinity College [Moka Maraval]) finished in the top-50 in multiple 2019 NJCAA Division I statistical categories.

Ventura-Garcia finished ninth with 2.75 shots on goal per match (37 in 12 matches).  He also finished tied for 15th with 4.17 shots per match (50 in 12) with South Suburban (Region IV) freshman forward Nico Williams.  Ventura-Garcia finished tied for 37th with seven other players with 37 shots on goal.  Prarie State's (Region IV) Antonio Leal led with 67.  Ventura-Garcia finished tied for 41st with five other players 50 shots overall.  Kishwaukee (Region IV) freshman forward Jessee Infante led with 92. 

Kallo's 102 saves was 11th.  Richard J. Daley freshman Victor Vazquez led with 229.  Kallo finished tied for 17th with 8.50 saves per match (102 in 12) with Holmes (Region XXIII) freshman Bill Bartholomew.  Southwest Virginia's (Region X) Stephen Mullins led with 17.22. (155 in nine)

As a team, Manor finished 13th (out of 158 goals) with 136 saves.  Richard J. Daley (Region IV) paced the way with 246 saves.  The Blue Jays finished tied for 25th with 16.0 shots overall per match (224 in 14 matches) with Nesosho County (Region VI).  Manor also finished 43rd with 147 shots on goal.  They were 47th with 224 shots overall.  The Blue Jays finished tied for 71st with Kankakee (Region IV) and Rhode Island (Region XXI) with 57 corner kicks.  Laramie County (Region IX) led with 498 shots overall and 161 corner kicks.  Manor finished 78th with 2.21 goals per match (31 in 14).  Monroe College (Region XV) led with 26.9 shots overall per match (484 in 18) and 6.50 goals per match (117 in 18).

The Blue Jays finished its 30th season of competition overall and 12th in the NJCAA.
