MANOR COLLEGE MEN’S SOCCER PLAYER NAMED EPAC ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

JENKINTOWN, PA—Manor College Blue Jays (7-5-1 Overall, 0-4-0 Region XIX Division I) freshman midfielder Kelvin Siem (Upper Darby, PA/Absegami [NJ]) was named Eastern Pennsylvania Athletic Conference (EPAC) Athlete of the Week (October 8-14).

Siem scored two first-half goals (on two first-half shots on goal) as the Blue Jays defeated the Harrisburg Area Community College Hawks, 8-0, on Saturday, October 13.  It was his team-leading third multi-goal match of 2018 and fifth multi-point effort of the season (which he shares the team lead).

Siem has started and played in all of the Blue Jays' 13 matches.  He leads Manor in goals (nine), points (20), shots on goal (29), shot percentage (0.237), and shot on goal percentage (0.737).  Siem shares the team lead in overall shots (38).  His 2.23 shots on goal per game is 38th in NJCAA Division I (as of October 16).  Siem has taken one shot (or more) in 12 of 13 matches this season).

Manor clinched its first Region XIX postseason tournament berth as a Division I team this season and its first since 2013 (when they were in Division III) when they shut out Harrisburg Area Community College, 8-0, on October 13 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.  Postseason Tournament opponent, date, time, and location are to be announced.
