PITTSBURGH, PA–Manor College (8-5 overall, 3-1 Eastern States Athletic Conference) freshman guard Manny Roach (Medford, NJ/Life Center Academy) was named to the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) Division I Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the period January 30-February 5.

This is the first time a Blue Jay was named USCAA Division I Men's Basketball Player of the Week this season.

Roach set personal season-highs in points (36) and free throws made (eight) and free throw attempts (11) versus Central Pennsylvania College (5-15, 2-1) on February 1.  He tied own season-high in three-point field goals made (six) versus the Knights. The 36 points scored versus Central Pennsylvania are the most by a Blue Jay since joining the USCAA for the 2021-2022 season.  Also, Roach paced Manor in minutes (36) and overall field goals made (11) and attempts (17) versus Central Pennsylvania.  He led Blue Jays in scoring (35), three-point field goal attempts (13), and steals (three) and set personal season-highs in overall (13) and three-point field goals made (five), overall field goal attempts (24), and defensive (nine) and overall rebounds (11) versus number one nationally-ranked USCAA Division I The Apprentice School (16-4).  Roach shared the team lead in minutes (35) versus the Builders.  He became the second Manor Men's Basketball player to score 30 or more points in consecutive games since the Blue Jays joined the USCAA for the 2021-2022 season.

He leads the team in overall field goal attempts (218), three-point field goals made (40) and attempts (125), free throw percentage (78.6), overall rebounds (82) and per game (5.5), and points (257) and per game (19.8).  Roach shares the team lead with 12 double-figure scoring games.

Roach became the third Manor USCAA Division I Men's Basketball Player of the Week. Nasir Collins was named for the period December 13-December 19, 2022.  Rahmaad Dejarnette was named for the period November 15-November 21, 2021. 

Roach plays for third-year Head Coach Leo Mahon.

The fifth-ranked USCAA Division I Blue Jays will host the 15-ranked USCAA Division II Villa Maria College Vikings (10-12) on Thursday, February 8 at 7:30 p.m.
