Charles (P.J.) Hackett was named as Manor Head Baseball Coach in January, 2024.

Previous Coaching Experience (Williamson College of the Trades): Hackett was previously the Williamson (United States Collegiate Athletic Association and Eastern States Athletic Conference) Associate Head Baseball Coach during the 2009 through 2023 seasons.  

Among USCAA Team Hitting Leaders (Since 2013): The Mechanics finished sixth in the USCAA in batting average (0.319) and slugging percentage (0.454) in 2023.  They were seventh in the USCAA in on-base percentage (0.407) in 2018.  Williamson was second in the USCAA in on-base percentage (0.420) in 2017.  They led the USCAA in on-base percentage (0.452) and were 11th in batting average (0.306) in 2014. Williamson finished fourth in the USCAA in on-base percentage (0.427) in 2013.

Among USCAA Team Pitching Leaders (Since 2013): Williamson was ninth in strikeouts per nine innings (6.75) and 15th in Earned Run Average (ERA) in 2013.

Among USCAA Individual Hitting Leaders (Since 2013): Cody Grande (0.447) (fifth) (2023), Robert Jones (0.423) (14th) (2018), Jacob Dellipriscoli (0.458) (third) (2015), Joe Spica (0.440) (ninth) (2014), and Dan Mulvhill (0.412) (11th) (2013) finished in the top-fifteen in batting average since 2013.  Jones (0.524) (10th) (2018), Spica (0.517) (ninth) (2014), Dellipriscoli (0.516) (10th) (2014), Mulvhill (0.545) (third) (2013), finished in the top-10 in on-base percentage since 2013.  Grande (0.711) (fifth) (2023), Jones (0.731) (eighth) (2018), Dellipriscoli (0.708) (fourth) (2015), and Spica (0.600) (16th) finished in the top-20 in slugging percentage since 2013.

Among USCAA Individual Pitching Leaders (Since 2013): In eight appearances, Jon Polillo was tied for 5th in Walks plus Hits divided by Innings Pitched (WHIP) (1.30) in 2019. In six games, Jereimi Ortiz led the USCAA in WHIP (1.10) and was 17th in ERA (4.20) in 2018. Polillo was 19th in ERA (4.25) that season in seven appearances in 2018.  Ian Whitman was fourth in WHIP (1.09) and 13th in batting average against (0.173) in four games in 2017.  James Muscarella was seventh in WHIP (1.29) and 24th in ERA (3.76) in 2017 in five appearances. Muscarella was second in WHIP (1.09) in 2016 in four games.  Whitman was fourth in WHIP (1.19) and fifth in strikeouts per nine innings (9.56) in three appearances in 2016. Ken Tongue Jr was fourth in WHIP (1.11) in five games in 2015.  Tongue Jr led the USCAA in 2014 in ERA (0.93) and WHIP (0.52) and tied for 11th in strikeouts per nine innings (10.24) in four appearances. Jack Foley was third in WHIP (1.00) and 11th in ERA (2.45) in 2014.  In six games, Marty McKeone led the USCAA in ERA (0.83) and WHIP (0.60) in 2013.  He was third in strikeouts per nine innings (11.01), eighth in strikeouts (53), and tied for 25th in wins (four) that season.

Previous Coaching Experience (Lincoln University of Pennsylvania): He was also the Lincoln (Pennsylvania) (NCAA) Assistant Head Baseball Coach during the 2007 through 2008 seasons. Hackett was the Lions’ Hitting Coach. He coached two players that are in Lincoln’s Athletics Hall of Fame: Joseph Kruemmer (Class of 2018) and Melvin Robinson (Class of 2020).   He helped with the transition from Division III to Division II.  Hackett also signed the University’s first baseball scholarship player.  

Currently: Since 2014, Hackett also serves as a Camp Instructor and Partner at 3 UP and 3 DOWN Baseball Camps in Wilmington, Delaware.  He was involved in the Judy Johnson Baseball Camp which was a finalist for Minor League Baseball’s “Golden Bobblehead Award” in 2020.

Education: He received his Bachelor of Arts in Communications/Public Relations and Business Administration minor from Elizabethtown College (Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania) in 1993. He also received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration/Management Information Systems concentration from Goldey-Beacom College (Wilmington, Delaware) in 2002.

Personal: Hackett currently resides in Wilmington, Delaware.
