MANOR COLLEGE BASEBALL LOSES GAME ONE OF AN ESAC HOME DOUBLEHEADER VERSUS CENTRAL PENNSYLVANIA COLLEGE

ABINGTON, PA—United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) Central Pennsylvania College (19-10 overall, 10-2 Eastern States Athletic Conference) scored runs in all of the they batted, as the Knights shut out the Manor College Blue Jays (1-13, 0-10) in game one of a doubleheader, 22-0, in five innings, at Roslyn Park.

Central Pennsylvania batted around in the first inning, scoring six runs, including four with two outs.  The Knights batted around for the second straight inning and scored three times.  They sent 14 batters to hit in the third and scored eight runs.  Central Pennsylvania added three in the fourth and two in the fifth.

Batting Leaders: Junior second baseman Owen Zell contributed two hits (including a triple), three walks, five stolen bases, three runs, and three runs batted in.  Senior designated hitter Zach Boyer had three hits (including an inside-the-park home run), two runs, and knocked in four runs.  Junior center fielder Jefrandy Montero contributed two hits, scored three times, stole three bases, and had three RBI.  Left fielder David Thomas scored three runs and had three RBI.  Freshman third baseman Tanner McCoy had two hits.  Sophomore catcher Brady Park and sophomore shortstop-catcher Cameron Smiley walked twice each.  Freshman designated runner Tyrone Tobin stole three bases and scored three runs.  Senior first baseman Adam Hoover and sophomore right fielder Robert Brown contributed two RBI each.  Freshman shortstop Brian Lowen stole two bases. Sophomore pinch-hitter-right fielder Roniel Morel scored twice for Central Pennsylvania.

Pitching Leaders: Sophomore Jordan Spadafore (1-0) pitched the first four innings, struck out seven, and allowed two hits and one walk.  Senior Dylan Younghans struck out three in relief.

Season Series: Manor is 0-4 overall versus Central Pennsylvania (0-1 at home).

Manor at Home: The Blue Jays are 1-7 overall this season at home (0-3 at Roslyn Park).
