PHILADELPHIA, PA—Manor College Women's Cross Country freshman Olivia Morton (Philadelphia, PA/St. Hubert) ran at the Jack St. Clair Memorial Race at the Belmont Plateau in Fairmount Park, hosted by NCAA Division II Thomas Jefferson University.
Morton was the only Manor College runner competing in the 6,000-meter meet. She is the first Blue Jay Women's Cross Country runner to participate in this race. Manor did not score in the event.
Philadelphia Runner Track Club member Maria Seykora won the individual race in 23:07.6 out of 93 competitors. West Chester University (NCAA Division II) junior Isabella Marchini was the top collegiate finisher with a time of 24:07.3 and finished third overall. West Chester won the meet with 36 points, edging out Philadelphia Runner Track Club with 37. West Chester also finished with a total time of 2:06:34.
The following NCAA Division III schools also participated in this meet: Cairn University, Kean University, Pennsylvania State University-Abington, Pennsylvania State University-Berks, and Rutgers University-Newark.
The following NCAA Division II schools (including Jefferson and West Chester) participated in this event: Bloomfield College, Chestnut Hill College, Holy Family University, and Lincoln University (Pennsylvania).
Temple University was the only NCAA Division I member participating in this race.
Manor and was the only USCAA member participating in this meet.
Howard Community College (NJCAA Region XX Division II) was only NJCAA member participating in this race.
Greater Philadelphia and Philadelphia Runner Track Clubs and Valley Forge Military College were the only unaffiliated teams participating in this event.
Next Meet: Manor is scheduled to participate in the Pennsylvania State University-Brandywine Invitational on Saturday, October 15 at Noon in Media, Pennsylvania.
