MANOR COLLEGE’S ISAIAH LEONARD BREAKS SCHOOL 100- AND 200-METER RECORDS AT THE USCAA INVITATIONAL

ALBANY, NY—The Manor College Men's Outdoor Track and Field team finished its second season at the USCAA Track and Field Invitational, hosted by Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, at NCAA Division I University of Albany.

The USCAA Track and Invitational was previously held on April 27, 2019.  The scheduled 2020 and 2021 Invitationals were cancelled due to COVID-19.

This is the first time the Manor Men's Track and Field team are participating in an USCAA postseason event.

Sophomore Isaiah Leonard (Philadelphia, PA/Motivation), and freshman Colin Randolph (Philadelphia, PA/A. Philip Randolph Career and Technical) ran in the third heat of the 100 meters.  Leonard won the heat and qualified for the finals with a school-record time of 11.81, breaking his own mark of 12.19 at the Widener Invitational on April 23, 2022.  This the second straight time he has won a 100-meter heat.  Leonard became the first Blue Jay to qualify USCAA Track and Field Invitational event final and finished with a time of 11.99.  Randolph finished with a personal-best time of 12.54 in the third heat, surpassing his mark of 12.80 at the Ursinus Outdoor Invitational on April 9.

Leonard and Randolph also ran in the 200 meter heats.  Randolph finished with a personal-best time of 26.80 in the second heat, surpassing his mark of 27.93 at the Ursinus Outdoor Invitational on April 9.  Leonard ran in the third heat and with a school-record time of 24.88, breaking his own record of 25.48 at the Widener Invitational on April 23, 2022.

The Blue Jays scored 2.0 points and finished 12th (out of 13 schools).

The following USCAA schools participated in this Invitational (including Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences): Hampshire College, University of Maine-Augusta, University of Maine-Fort Kent, Mississippi University for Women, New Hampshire Technical Institute, Pennsylvania University State-Brandywine, Pennsylvania University State-Fayette, Pennsylvania State University-Scranton, State University of New York-College of Environmental Science and Forestry, Vermont Technical College, and York (Maine) Community College.

Fort Kent won the Invitational with 137 points.
