MANOR COLLEGE MEN'S BASKETBALL DEFEATED BY CENTRAL PENNSYLVANIA COLLEGE IN ESAC MATCH-UP

JENKINTOWN, PA—Central Pennsylvania College (2-2 Overall, 1-0 Eastern States Athletic Conference) sophomore guard Rodney Ross led both teams with 31 points and 11 assists as the Knights defeated the Manor College Blue Jays (2-3, 0-2), 116-110.

This game was originally scheduled to be at East Pennsboro High School in Enola, Pennsylvania.  Central Pennsylvania was the home team for this contest. 

Central Pennsylvania led 58-56 at the half.  Sophomore guard Isaiah Leonard (Philadelphia, PA/Motivation) and sophomore forward Rahmaad Dejarnette (Chester, PA/STEM Academy) led Manor with 13 points apiece.  Freshman forward Enoch Clark (Clearwater FL/Pinellas Park) contributed 11.  Ross led both teams with 19 points and freshman guard Trevon Donald came off the bench and scored 15 (on five three-point baskets) for Central Pennsylvania.

The Knights outscored the Blue Jays in the second half, 58-54.  Enoch Clark led both teams with 19 points.  Dejarnette and Leonard scored 12 and 10 points, respectively for Manor. Sophomore guard Randy Dupont led Central Pennsylvania with 13 points and both teams with seven assists.  Ross and freshman guard/forward Aaron Harrison scored 12 points each.  Sophomore point guard Nate Jean-Phillippe added 11 points and five assists for the Knights.

Individual Statistical Leaders: Enoch Clark led Manor with 30 points.  Dejarnette contributed a "double-double" with 25 points and led both schools with 12 rebounds.  Leonard scored 23 and paced the Blue Jays with five assists.  Sophomore guard Malik Clark (Philadelphia, PA/Boys' Latin) scored 11 points and led Manor with four steals.

In addition to Ross, Harrison scored 21 points.  Dupont contributed a "double-double" with 20 points and 10 rebounds.  Jean-Phillippe scored 17 points and had nine assists.  Freshman forward Tyler Hunter led both teams with five blocked shots and shared the team with Dupont with 10 rebounds.  Donald led both benches with 19 points, including five three-point baskets for the Knights.

Season Series: This is the first match-up between the two as four-year schools.  Before this game, they previously met on January 15, 2008 when both schools were in the Eastern Pennsylvania Collegiate Conference (EPCC) (82-68 at Central Pennsylvania).  Since the 1994-1995 season, Manor leads the season-series 24-2 overall (12-2 on the road).  The loss snapped Manor's 24-game overall series and 12-game road series winning streaks.

Next Game: Manor plays NCAA Division III Immaculata University Junior Varsity 7:00 p.m. Thursday, November 18, 2021 in Jenkintown, Pennsylvania.  This is the first match-up between both schools.  The Blue Jays are 10-5 overall (2-0 at home), including eight straight wins versus Junior Varsity teams since the 2008-2009 season.  Manor won its previous contest versus a Junior Varsity squad, 84-81, against Gwynedd-Mercy University on November 21, 2019 in Jenkintown, Pennsylvania.
