JENKINTOWN, PA—The 2019-2020 Manor College Athletics season was filled with memorable games and moments.  Manor Athletics will chronologically look back at those top games and moments from this past school year.  Today's feature is about the Men's Basketball 63-62 victory at Division III Valley Forge Military College in Wayne, Pennsylvania on November 14, 2019.

Highlights: The Trojans took a 62-61 lead on freshman guard JayQuan Williams' free throw with about 18 seconds left in the game.  Williams missed his next free throw and it was rebounded by sophomore forward/center Robert Tucker (Philadelphia, PA/Paul Robeson).  Tucker later scored in the possession on a hook shot, with an assist by sophomore guard Anthony Rodriguez (Philadelphia, PA/Frankford) with 0:05.5 left.  After a timeout, Williams' inbound pass went to Akeem Raphael.  However, Raphael's intended pass to freshman guard/forward Michael White was stolen around center court on a leaping catch by sophomore guard/forward Taleek Anderson (Philadelphia, PA/Frankford).

Notes: This was the first match-up between Manor and Valley Forge Military since the Trojans moved to Division III.  The Blue Jays' win was the first on the road this season and the first after trailing at halftime.  Manor's victory versus Valley Forge Military improved its series record to 9-1 since the 2008-2009 season (6-0 on the road).  They also improved its record versus NJCAA Division III schools to 20-10 since 2008-2009 (6-8 on the road).

Statistical Leaders: Sophomore guard/forward Yochua Diaz (Philadelphia, PA/Dobbins) came off the bench and led the Blue Jays with 15 points.  Tucker scored 14 points and led Manor with seven rebounds and three steals.  Rodriguez paced both teams with six assists.  Anderson and Kureese Rodgers scored 11 and 10 points, respectively for the Blue Jays.

Quotes: Second-year Head Coach Dave Ellerbee on this game: "My recollection of the game against Valley Forge was a neck and neck, hard fought game.  Both teams came to play.

Typical of any game that plays wire to wire has to be won with a big play.  Fortunately, for us a defensive effort was needed to seal the win.  When this year's team played defense together, I believe we were fun to watch.  To end the game, a perfectly read steal by Taleek Anderson ended a great game.  The win was a true team effort.  Also, historically a moment to remember for Manor College and Valley Forge."
