Women lose nail biter to Union CC
Dec 9, 2015

Last weekend on Saturday, December 5th our Lady Jays traveled to Cranford, NJ to take on Union CC. The Lady Jays started the first quarter a bit slower than Union and unfortunately couldn't catch up with them the rest of the game. According to Head Coach, Robert Reeves, "We can score and our defense is good, we need to rebound better as a team and work on foul shots."

At the end of the second quarter, the Lady Jays netted 38 points and was behind Union by eight points. Freshman, Tamara Sellers and Carolyn Cosey led the Lady Jays in points, Sellers netting 19 and Cosey netting 14.

Despite not winning vs. Union, Coach Rob says that his team "Works extremely hard every game on our defense, and I am seeing improvements."

Another highlight of the game was Freshman, Shawn Dowd's eight rebounds, leading the Blue Jays in rebounds for this game.

With the Lady Jays going into Christmas break next week with a tied record, it is vital that they make the next two games count.

Coach Rob says, "The season is going really well. We are 3-3 right now with two games remaining before Christmas break. We hope to win these two games and go into to the break at 5-3."

Tomorrow night the Lady Jays will take on Delaware Technical Community College at 5pm in our home gym, so come out and cheer on your Lady Jays!
