MANOR COLLEGE WOMEN’S OUTDOOR TRACK AND FIELD COMPETES IN THE BILL BUTLER INVITATIONAL

WEST CHESTER, PA—The Manor College Women's Outdoor Track and Field team competed in the Bill Butler Invitational, hosted by NCAA Division II West Chester University.

This invitational took place at John A. Farrell Stadium.

The Blue Jays previously competed at West Chester University in the Golden Ram Invitational on March 23 when they made their collegiate debut.

Sophomore Chenia Maldonado (Philadelphia, PA/Fels) ran in the first section of the 100 meters and finished with a time of 14.83 and finished 28th overall.  Her time was fifth-highest among NJCAA participants.  Maldonado also ran in the second section of the 200 meters and finished with a time of 33.36.

The following NCAA schools competed in the Women's portion of this invitational (including West Chester University) (Division): Bryn Mawr College (III), Eastern University (III), Haverford College (III), Jefferson (Pennsylvania) University (II), Neumann University (III), Stockton University (III), Swarthmore College (III), Ursinus College (III), and Widener University (III).

The following NJCAA school competed in this event (including Manor): Community College of Philadelphia (Region XIX Division III).

The Bill Butler Invitational is named after the former West Chester University Men's and Women's Cross Country and Track and Field Head Coach.  The Class of 1954 graduate and West Chester professor was inducted into the University's Athletics Hall of Fame in 2009.

Next Meet: The Blue Jays are scheduled to compete in the All-American Meet Invitational, hosted by NCAA Division II East Stroudsburg University in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania on Saturday, April 20.  The invitational will take place at Eiler-Martin Stadium.
