MANOR COLLEGE WOMEN’S OUTDOOR TRACK AND FIELD MAKES ITS COLLEGIATE DEBUT AT GOLDEN RAM INVITATIONAL

WEST CHESTER, PA—The Manor College Women's Outdoor Track and Field team made its collegiate debut at the Golden Ram Invitational, hosted by West Chester University.

Sophomore Chenia Maldonado (Philadelphia, PA/Fels) became the first Blue Jay in school history to compete in a Women's Outdoor Track and Field event.  Maldonado ran in the 100 and 200 meters.  She ran in first heat of the 100 with a time of 14.94 and 20th overall.  Maldonado finished with a time of 31.95 in the first heat of the 200 and 29th overall.

There were not any team scores in this meet.

The following NCAA schools (including West Chester) competed in this meet: Connecticut College, Goldey-Beacom University, Gwynedd-Mercy University, Jefferson (Pennsylvania) University, King's (Pennsylvania) College, Moravian College, and University of Scranton.

The following NJCAA Region XIX Division III schools competed in this meet (including Manor): Community College of Philadelphia and Union County College.

Next Meet: The Blue Jays are scheduled to compete in day two of the Danny Curran Invitational, hosted by NCAA Division III Widener University, in Chester, Pennsylvania on Saturday, March 30 at 10:00 a.m.
