MANOR COLLEGE BLANKED BY MIDDLESEX COUNTY COLLEGE

JENKINTOWN, PA—Middlesex County College (8-5-0 Overall, 4-4-0 NJCAA Region XIX Division III) sophomore midfielder Victoria Gil scored two goals and contribute an assist as the Colts shut out Manor College (0-8-0, 0-5-0), 3-0.

Sophomore midfielder Karina Rolden opened up the scoring for Middlesex County at the 7:27 mark of the first half.  She was assisted by Gil and sophomore defenseman Genesis Torres.  Gil scored a pair of unassisted first-half goals (10:30 and 11:45) to finish off the Colts' scoring.

Gil led both teams with seven shots overall, including six on goal.  Freshman goalkeeper Josephine Fusco won her first collegiate match and registered her first shut out in her inaugural collegiate start.

The match was stopped in the 70th minute.

Series Record:  Middlesex County leads the season series, 6-0-0 (3-0-0 at Manor) (since 2008).

Next and Home Match: Manor hosts NJCAA Division III Lehigh Carbon Community College 3:30 p.m. Thursday, October 11.  The Blue Jays are 0-3-0 (0-1-0 at home) versus the Cougars.  Lehigh Carbon Community College won the previous match-up, 10-1, on October 4, 2018 in Schnecksville, PA.
