JENKINTOWN, PA—Montgomery Community College (2-2-0) freshman Ventsislava Petrova scored four goals (including three in the second-half) and contributed an assist as the Mustangs defeated the Manor College Blue Jays (0-5-0), 10-1.
Manor scored its goal in the 16th minute by sophomore midfielder Dominique Calio (Philadelphia, PA/St. Hubert), with an assist by sophomore mid Erica Foreman (Philadelphia, PA/Archbishop Ryan).
Sophomore Emily Crosby-Pisczek scored two goals and added an assist. Freshman Kelsey Breisch contributed a pair of first-half goals. Petrova had nine shots overall (five on goal).
Series Record: Manor leads the season series, 4-3-0 (3-3-0 at home) (since 2009). This was the Mustangs first win versus the Blue Jays since August 31, 2010 (12-2 at Manor), breaking a four-game series losing winning streak.
Next Home Match: Manor hosts NJCAA Division III Middlesex County College 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, October 9. The Blue Jays are 0-5-0 (0-2-0 at home) versus the Colts. Middlesex County won the previous meeting, 8-3, on September 29, 2012 in Edison, NJ. The Blue Jays previously hosted the Colts on October 1, 2011 (3-1 loss).
Next Match: Manor travels to play NJCAA Division III Club Team Lehigh Carbon Community College in Schnecksville, Pennsylvania at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 4. The Cougars lead the season series, 2-0-0. Lehigh Carbon won both match-ups last season, 6-2, on September 30, 2017 (at Manor), and, 2-0, on October 14, 2017 (at Lehigh Carbon).
