JENKINTOWN, PA—Manor College Women's Soccer freshmen Dominique Calio (midfielder) (Philadelphia, PA/St. Huber) and Alize Felton (goalkeeper) (New Castle, DE/William Penn) finished in the top-50 in multiple 2017 NJCAA Division III statistical categories.

Calio's 4.22 shots on goal per game (38 in nine games) were fourth.  Her 6.22 shots per game (56 in nine games) was fifth NJCAA Division III Women's Soccer.  She finished tied for 40th in shots (56) and tied for 42nd shots on goal (38).

Blue Jays' first-year Head Coach Tom Gangi on Calio: "Dominique is a technically skilled soccer player, and, as the stats show, she is always in the middle of the action.  In my 20 years of coaching, her skill at free kicks is unmatched.  Her terrific attitude and outstanding leadership is what separates Dominique from other players.  We look forward to next year, and, Dom will lead the way with her smile and her heart."

Felton's 18.67 saves per game (168 in nine games) was second in NJCAA Division III.  Her 168 saves were fifth.  Felton's 89.53 minutes played per game (809:00 in nine games) were 13th and 809 minutes played were 45th.

Gangi on Felton: "For never playing goalie before what Alize did this year is amazing.  Her courage is what stands out.  She was as brave as any goalie at any level.  She stopped every shot she could get to, and, that was a lot of shots.  She let her natural athletic ability shine through, and, that's why she is a two-sport star at this level.  We hope she doesn't have to face as many shots next year, but, we have all the confidence Alize will stop most."

As a team, Manor finished seventh (out of 71 schools) with 182 saves.

The Blue Jays played in their first full season since 2012.
