MANOR WOMEN’S BASKETBALL LOSES TO LACKAWNNA COLLEGE

JENKINTOWN, PA—Lackawanna College (21-5 Overall, 13-3 NJCAA Region XIX Division II) freshman guard Shaylah Green came off the bench and led both teams with 12 points as the Falcons defeated the Manor College Blue Jays (5-13, 4-12), 67-31.

The Falcons led after the first quarter (29-12) and at halftime (43-22).  Green paced both teams with 10 points.

Lackawanna outscored Manor in the third (10-4) and led 53-26 after three quarters.  The Falcons outscored the Blue Jays in the fourth, 14-5.  Lackawanna outscored Manor in the second half, 24-9.  The Blue Jays' nine-second half points are the fewest they scored in any half this season.

Manor's 31 points are the fewest they scored at home this season.  The Blue Jays' 31 points are also the fewest they scored at home since the 2002-2003 season (2003-2004 season unavailable).  They scored 41 points at home versus Mercer County Community College on January 28, 2014.

Individual Statistical Leaders: Freshman shooting guard/small forward Emazhane Livingston (Newark, NJ/Technology) led Manor with 10 points, 13 rebounds, six blocked shots and three assists.  Freshman forward Jailynn Watson (Darby, PA/Penwood) blocked five shots.  Sophomore point guard Kiara Stoval (Chester, PA/Ursuline Academy [DE]) and Shania Patterson (Philadelphia, PA/The U School) led the Blue Jays with four steals each.

Freshman forward Jasmine Lewis, coming off the bench, led Lackawanna with 12 rebounds.  Freshman point guard Ciaira Lloyd paced both squads with nine steals and six assists.  Every player on the Falcon roster scored in this game.

Series Record (since 2008-2009): Lackawanna swept Manor in the season series.  The Blue Jays are 8-16 in the overall series (4-7 at home) versus the Falcons.  Lackawanna has won 11 straight overall match-ups and five consecutive at Manor.

Next Game: Manor hosts Region XIX Division II Rowan College at Burlington County (14-6, 10-5) 5:00 p.m. Monday, February 18.  This is also the final home regular season game for the team and Stoval.  The Blue Jays are 12-13 overall (7-5 at home) versus the Barons since the 2008-2009 season.  Burlington County won the previous match-up, 68-46, on November 13, 2018 in Pemberton, New Jersey.  Burlington County also won the previous match-up at Manor, 68-47, on December 14, 2017.  This is a make-up game from Tuesday, February 12 due to inclement weather.
