MANOR COLLEGE’S LIVINGSTON NAMED NJCAA WOMEN’S BASKETBALL DIVISION II PLAYER OF THE WEEK

CHARLOTTE, NC—Manor College freshman shooting guard/small forward Emazhane Livingston (Newark, NJ/Technology) was named NJCAA Women's Basketball Division II Player of The Week for the period January 28-February 3. 

Livingston becomes the first Blue Jay student-athlete in any sport to be named NJCAA Player of The Week.

In three games, she averaged 27.3 points, 12.7 rebounds, 5.3 steals, 2.7 assists, and 1.7 blocked shots per game.

Livingston led the Blue Jays with 26 points, 12 rebounds, and five steals at Cecil College (January 28).  She registered Manor's first "triple-double" of the season in a win versus Bucks County Community College (January 31) with 32 points (Blue Jay season-high), 16 rebounds, and 10 steals (also a Blue Jay season-high).  Livingston also contributed six assists and led Manor with three blocked shots versus the Centurions.  She pulled down 10 rebounds and led the Blue Jays with 24 points at Raritan Valley Community College (February 2).

Livingston has an active streak of five straight "double-doubles" (points and rebounds) since January 22 (at Bucks County).  During this stretch, she has averaged 22.6 points and 14.4 rebounds per game.  Livingston leads Manor with nine "double-doubles" (points and rebounds) this season.  She paces the Blue Jays with 11 double-digit rebounding games and has 11 double-digit scoring games (out of 13 games played this season).  Livingston has led (or shared) the team lead in scoring seven times this season.  She has paced (or shared) the Blue Jays' lead in rebounding eight times this season.

Through games as of February 4, 2019, Livingston is tied for eighth in NJCAA Division II in rebounds and 30th in blocked shots per game.  She is also 41st in points per game.
