Lady Jays Fight Until the End with BCC

Our Lady Blue Jays played a tough game against Burlington County College last week and just couldn't get the W, losing to BCC 65-58.

It was a slow start for the Lady Blue Jays as they traveled to Pemberton, NJ to face Burlington County College (BCC) on Tuesday, December 2nd.  Coach Robert Reeves says, "It was a game of runs, both teams played hard and in the end we come up short. I'm very proud of the way we played."

Unfortunately, the Lady Jays were never in the lead – while the score was always tight, the Lady Jays just couldn't capture that lead at any point during this game.

Team captain Yolanda Dantzler says, "We allowed the other ream to run us out of the game with their speed."

BCC is a notoriously fast team, and while Manor has speed of our own, they were unable to keep up.

Coach Reeves says that one of the highlights of the game was that,  "Our team played together for the first time all season, and in a losing effort as well - that should build our team chemistry."

Some of the key players during this game were Dom Williams with 16 points and 7 rebounds, and Brittnay Smith with 9 points and 5 rebounds.

The Lady Jays are currently 3-3 and will face Harcum College in our home gym tomorrow evening at 5pm.
