Going into their final regular season game, the Manor College Women’s Basketball team wanted to finish the season off with a win. The team focused on playing hard, making good shots and playing tough defense.
It was obvious from the start of the game on Saturday, February 15 that the Lady Jays could beat Delaware Tech. The Lady Jays came out playing hard, outscoring Delaware Tech by 20 points in the first half, going into halftime with a score of 33 – 13.
Head Coach, Robert Reeves says, “The ladies shared the ball and hit the open person for the best shot not just any shot.”
Also, #21 Indya Lucas was on fire with her shots, scoring 24 points in the game, with teammate #10 Tyshay Britten right behind her scoring 16 points.
Tyshay Britten says, “The drive to win made us score so many points. We wanted to end our season on a good note.”
Looking forward to the playoffs, Coach Reeves comments saying, “We need to get healthy and stay healthy going into the playoffs. We have a very good opportunity in front of us and we need to take full advantage of it.”
