MANOR COLLEGE MEN'S SOCCER SHUT OUT BY ROWAN COLLEGE AT BURLINGTON IN CONFERENCE MATCH-UP

JENKINTOWN, PA—Rowan College at Burlington County (6-2-0 Overall, 1-1-0 NJCAA Region XIX Division I) freshmen winger Daniel Alejandro Rebolledo Tejada scored a goal and contributed an assist as the Barons blanked the Manor College Blue Jays (3-5-0, 0-2-0), 3-0.

The Barons outshot the Blue Jays 17 (eight on goal) to four (two on goal) in a scoreless first half.

After a Manor foul, Tejada's direct kick from outside the 18-yard line went into the right side of the net (51:39).  Less than five minutes later, Tejada's pass outside the 18 went to freshman left winger Kelvin Ortiz, who kicked it into the net (55:47).  Following a Tejada shot on goal, freshman striker Eric Pierre kicked in the rebound (85:12), and finished off the scoring for the match.  Burlington County outshot Manor in the second half, 18 (13 on goal) to five (three on goal).  The Barons outshot the Blue Jays, 35-9, for the match.

This is the third time in eight matches this season Manor has been shut out. The Blue Jays were blanked twice in 14 matches in 2018.

Series Record:  The Blue Jays are 1-5-0 overall (1-2-0 at home) versus the Barons.

Next Game:  Manor travels to play NJCAA Region XIX Division I Harcum College at The Proving Grounds in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 26.  The Blue Jays are 0-6-0 overall versus the Bears (0-3-0 on the road).  Manor lost the previous matchup, 5-1, on October 20, 2018, in the NJCAA Region XIX Division I Postseason Tournament Quarterfinals at the Proving Grounds.

Next Home Game:  Manor hosts NJCAA Region XIX Division III Harrisburg Area Community College in Jenkintown, Pennsylvania at Noon on Saturday, September 28.  The Blue Jays are 14-0-0 overall versus the Hawks since 2004.  They are 6-0-0 at home since 2005.  Manor shut out Harrisburg Area in the previous meeting, 8-0, on October 13, 2018, in Harrisburg.  The Blue Jays blanked the Hawks in the previous home meeting, 5-0, on October 12, 2017.
