MANOR COLLEGE MEN'S SOCCER SCORE FIVE STRAIGHT VERSUS PENNSYLVANIA STATE UNIVERSITY-LEHIGH VALLEY FOR SECOND CONSECUTIVE VICTORY

CENTER VALLEY, PA—Manor College (3-4-0) freshmen Jared Laudenslager (Philadelphia, PA) (midfielder) and Bricknell Ngome (Philadelphia, PA) (defenseman) scored two goals each as the Blue Jays won its second straight game, 5-1 versus the Pennsylvania State University-Lehigh Valley Nittany Lions (2-4-0) in a non-conference match.

Following a Manor foul, Lehigh Valley freshman Creyn Muthard's direct kick from outside of the 18-yard line went to junior Justin Evans.  Evans' head shot went into the right side of the net (2:23).  After a Lehigh Valley foul, Manor sophomore defenseman Michael Schramm's (Bensalem, PA) direct kick went to Ngome inside the 18.  Ngome kicked into the net for the game-tying goal (40:40).  The Blue Jays outshot the Nittany Lions seven (five on goal) to four (two on goal) in the first half.

Manor took the lead for good in the second half.  Freshman midfielder Jonathan Ventura-Garcia's (Philadelphia, PA) pass went down the middle of the field to Ngome outside of the 18.  Nigome's shot went into the right side of the net for the go-ahead goal and his second of the match (62:56).  Ventura-Garcia's corner kick went inside the 18.  Freshman midfielder Gabriel Elliott (Philadelphia, PA) kicked the loose ball into the middle of the net (67:15).  Following a foul on Lehigh Valley sophomore Christopher Cruz, Laudenslager's direct kick between 18 and the 50 went into the net (72:48).  Freshman midfielder Wilbert Cota's (Philadelphia, PA) pass from near the end line went to Laudenslager, who kicked it in the left side of the net for his second goal of the game (80:15).  Manor outshot Lehigh Valley in the second half, 10 (six on goal) to four (three on goal).  The Blue Jays outshot the Nittany Lions, 17-8, for the match.

The Blue Jays scored 14 of its 17 goals this season in the second half. They have also been outscored in the second half this season, 15-14.

Series Record:  The Blue Jays lead the season series, 3-0-0 (2-0-0 on the road).

Manor versus PSUAC: Manor is 6-0-1 overall (5-0-1 on the road) versus the Pennsylvania State University Athletic Conference (since 2008).

Next Game:  Manor hosts NJCAA Region XIX Division I Rowan College at Burlington County (5-2-0 overall, 0-1-0 Region XIX Division I) in Jenkintown, Pennsylvania at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 19.  The Blue Jays are 1-4-0 overall versus the Barons (1-1-0 at home).  Manor lost the previous matchup, 6-0, on September 30, 2017, at the Westhampton Sports Complex in Westhampton, New Jersey.

Next Road Game:  Manor travels to play NJCAA Region XIX Division I Harcum College at The Proving Grounds in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 26.  The Blue Jays are 0-6-0 overall versus the Bears (0-3-0 on the road).  Manor lost the previous matchup, 5-1, on October 20, 2018, in the NJCAA Region XIX Division I Postseason Tournament Quarterfinals at the Proving Grounds.
