JENKINTOWN, PA—A pair of Mercer County Community College (15-2-0 Overall, 4-1-0 Region XIX Division I) goalkeepers and the Viking defense limited the Blue Jays' offense to five shots as they blanked Manor College (6-5-1, 0-4-0), 6-0.
Mercer County scored the only the goal of the first half in the 12th minute on a corner kick from freshman defenseman Yuhei Matsushita to freshman forward Yuriy Kryskiv around the six-yard line. Kryskiv's head shot went into the net.
The Vikings opened up the scoring in the second half. Kryskiv's pass went to Matsushita around the 18, who then kicked it into the net in the 46th minute. Mercer County added to its lead in the 57th minute. Matsushita's pass from outside the 18 went to freshman forward Matheus Martins Silva. Martins Silva's head shot from inside the 18 went into the right side of the net. This was Matsushita's second assist of the match. The next two goals were scored by sophomore forward Oshana Boothe and assisted by Kryskiv. Kryskiv's pass to went to Boothe around the 18 and it was kicked into the middle of the net in the 60th minute. Kryskiv connected with Boothe in the 62nd minute. Kryskiv's pass went from outside of the 18 to Boothe, and, his head shot went into the middle for the Vikings' third goal in five minutes. This also Kryskiv's third assist of the second half. Mercer County finished off the scoring in the 73rd minute. Freshman Kamal Elatrebby's pass went to freshman midfielder Eduardo Effting inside the 18. Effting shot went into the left side of the net. Freshman goalkeepers Eial Marzouk and Raul Mendez combined for the shutout.

The Blue Jays last visited the Hawks on October 1, 2016 (5-1 win).
