JENKINTOWN, PA—Manor College's (5-1-1) freshman midfielder Amadou Kamagate (Philadelphia, PA/Frankford) scored two goals and contributed an assist as the Blue Jays defeated Pennsylvania State University Athletic Conference (PSUAC) member Pennsylvania State University-Lehigh Valley Nittany Lions (0-2-0), 5-2.

Manor scored the first two goals of the match.  Following a Penn State-Lehigh Valley yellow card, Kamagate's direct kick outside the 18-yard line went into the right side of the net in the seventh minute for his fourth goal of the season.  The Blue Jays added to its lead in the 20th minute.  Kamagate's pass went to freshman midfielder Jordan Gillies (Philadelphia, PA/S. L. A. Beeber) inside the 18.  Gillies shot into the net for his first collegiate goal.  Penn State-Lehigh Valley answered with two straight goals by sophomore CJ Semet.  Sophomore Mario Blot pass to Semet inside 18 cut the lead in half in the 30th minute.  Freshman Jonathan Smith's pass to Semet inside 18, and Semet's kick into the right side of the open net, tied the match in the 33rd minute.  The Blue Jays went ahead for good in the 37th minute.  Freshman forward/midfielder Preston Gray's (Bristol, PA/Truman) pass downfield went to freshman midfielder Alvin Mlawa (Philadelphia, PA/Abraham Lincoln) inside the 18.  Mlawa's shot went into the middle of the net for his second goal of the season.  Manor scored again in the 40th minute.  Gray's pass went to sophomore midfielder Ibrahim Abdelghani (Philadelphia, PA/Kensington) inside the 18.  Abdelghani then scored his first goal of the season and Gray had his second assist of the match on the play.  The Blue Jays led 4-2 at halftime.  Manor outshot Penn State-Lehigh Valley 13 (eight on goal) to four (four on goal) in the first half.

Manor scored the only goal in the second half in the 62nd minute.  Abdelghani's pass went to Kamagate outside of the 18.  Kamagate kicked into the left-hand corner of the net for his first collegiate multi-goal game and his fifth goal of the season.  This completed a run of three straight Blue Jay goals.  Manor outshot Penn State-Lehigh Valley in the second half, 14 (seven on goal) to three (none on goal), and for the match, 27 to seven.

Defense Rests: Freshman goalkeeper Aaron Chester (Pennsauken, NJ/Pennsauken) and the Blue Jays' defense held the Nittany Lions to seven shots overall (four on goal).  Manor did not allow a second half shot on goal.

Series Record:  Manor leads the season series, 2-0-0 (1-0-0 at home).  This is Penn State-Lehigh Valley's first visit to Manor.

Manor versus the PSUAC:  The Blue Jays remain unbeaten against the PSUAC, 6-0-1.  They tied Penn State-Brandywine, 2-2, in double overtime, on September 1, 2018 in Media, Pennsylvania.

Next Match: Manor travels to play NJCAA Region XIX Division III Montgomery County Community College 3:30 p.m. Thursday, September 20 in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania.  The Blue Jays are 5-1-1 (2-0-1 on the road) versus the Mustangs (since 2008), including five straight.  Manor won the previous meeting, 5-1, at home on October 7, 2014.  The Blue Jays last visited the Mustangs on October 7, 2013 (1-0 win).

Next Home Match: Manor hosts NJCAA Region XIX Division III Bucks Country Community College 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, September 25.  The Blue Jays are 12-5-0 (6-1-0 at home since 2005) versus the Centurions (since 2004).  Manor was shut out in the previous meeting, 3-0, on September 14, 2017 in Newtown, Pennsylvania.  The Blue Jays last played the Centurions at home on September 15, 2016 (won 3-1).
