JENKINTOWN, PA—Manor College (5-7) freshman forward Phedel Saye (Philadelphia, PA/Northeast) scored four goals as the Blue Jays scored a season-high ten goals in a 10-1 rout over Lehigh Carbon Community College (2-13-0).

The Blue Jays shot early and often at the Cougars defense.  Manor struck first in the 12th minute following freshman goalkeeper Emmanuel Caire's (Philadelphia, PA/Samuel S. Fels) goal kick.  Saye scored his first goal of the match with an assist by sophomore midfielder Dashan Santiago (Philadelphia, PA/George Washington).  In the 18th minute, Saye and Santiago combined again for the second goal of the game as Saye's shot made into the left side of the net.  Manor struck again in the 19th minute.  Freshman midfielder Jehbleh Jah's (Philadelphia, PA/George Washington) shot off of the cross bar rebounded to sophomore Kevin Rodriguez (Pottstown/Pottsgrove), who kicked in for the goal.  Manor completed the first half scoring in the 31st minute. Freshman forward Arthur Greenwood's (Philadelphia, PA/Philadelphia Academy Charter) shot hit off of Lehigh Carbon freshman goalkeeper Alex Pfeiffenberger and Jah scored off of the rebound.  The referee ended the first half in the after the 40th minute due to rain.  Manor led at the half, 4-0 and had 32 shots and 20 on goal.  The Blue Jay defense limited the Cougars to three shots and two on goal.

Manor scored early in the second half.  Saye scored inside the 18-yard line for his first collegiate hat trick.  He was assisted by freshman midfielder Eddy Rangel (Philadelphia, PA/Father Judge). Freshman defenseman Innocent Bazongo (Philadelphia, PA/Samuel S. Fels) scored the next goal. About a minute later, Rodriguez was fouled outside the 18 and his direct kick went into the net for his second goal of the match. It was his first collegiate multi-goal effort.  Freshman Thomas Hipwell (Cheltenham, PA/Cheltenham), who normally plays goal keeper, made an appearance on the Blue Jays' front line.  He was fouled inside the 18 and scored his first collegiate goal on the penalty kick for an 8-0 lead.  Lehigh Carbon scored its only goal of the game about five minutes after Hipwell's goal.  Freshman Johnathan Reynolds' shot around the 18 went past Caire into the left side of the net.  Manor scored the final two goals of the match.  Saye scored his fourth goal of the game unassisted. About a minute later, Santiago scored to make it 10-1, with assist by Caire. The match was stopped by the referee shortly after this goal due to the increasing rain.

Individually, Saye led Manor with 11 shots and seven shots on goal. Rangel took seven shots, Rodriguez added six (and four on goal), and freshman Hussein Shnati (Philadelphia, PA/Northeast) each contributed five.  Saye was the first player to score more than three goals in a match was Mark Colville versus Harrisburg Area Community College (six on September 28, 2013). Manor outshot Lehigh Carbon by over three-to-one (52 to 15) for the match. The Blue Jays also dominated in shots on goal by also over three-to-one (32 to 10).  Caire saved nine of 10 shots on goal.

This is the fifth time since 2005 the Blue Jays have scored 10 or more goals in a match. This was second meeting in a row they scored more than 10 versus the Cougars.  The nine-goal margin of victory is a season-high and the largest since September 28, 2015 (10-0 at Pennsylvania State University-Schuylkill).  This was largest margin of victory at home since September 17, 2013 (17-1 versus Harrisburg Area).
