MANOR MEN'S BASKETBALL VICTORIOUS VERSUS BUCKS COUNTY COMMUNITY COLLEGE IN REGION XIX DIVISION II FINALE

JENKINTOWN, PA—Manor College Blue Jays (12-12 overall, 9-5 Region XIX Division II) sophomore forward/center Robert Tucker (Philadelphia, PA/Paul Robeson) led the Blue Jays with 19 points, 13 rebounds, and five blocked shots as they defeated Bucks County Community College (8-11, 5-8), 89-80, in its Region XIX Division II regular season finale.

During halftime, six Blue Jay sophomores were recognized for their contributions to the Men's Basketball program: forward Manuel Alvarez (Reading, PA/Governor Mifflin), guard/forward Taleek Anderson (Philadelphia, PA/Frankford), guard/forward Yochua Diaz (Philadelphia, PA/Dobbins), guard Jewel Funchess (Philadelphia, PA/Olney), guard Anthony Rodriguez (Philadelphia, PA/Frankford), and Tucker. 

Manor led at halftime, 47-46.  Tucker led the Blue Jays with 13 points.  Manor outscored Bucks County, 42-34, in the second half, en route to the victory.  Rodriguez led the Blue Jays with 11 points.

The win was the Blue Jays' third straight overall and in Region XIX Division II play. 

Manor finished 9-5 in Region XIX Division II regular season action.  They are currently in second place.  The Blue Jays are 83-101 in Region XIX Division II since joining the NJCAA for the 2008-2009 season.  They are 58-32 in Region XIX Division II competition since the 2014-2015 season.

Individual Statistical Leaders: Anderson tied a season-high with 17 points and pulled down 11 rebounds.  Rodriguez scored 18 points.  Hockaday tied a season-high with 14 points for the Blue Jays.

Leading at Halftime: The Blue Jays are 7-1 overall (5-0 at home) when leading at halftime this season.  The won-loss record does include November 9, 2019.

Home Sweet Home: Manor is 7-4 overall (6-1 versus Region XIX Division II) at home this season.  This is the seventh time in the previous eight seasons that the Blue Jays have a 0.500 or better overall and Region XIX Division II home record.  Manor is 80-58 overall (54-38 versus Region XIX Division II) at home since joining the NJCAA for the 2008-2009 season.  The Blue Jays are 55-22 overall (36-9 versus Region XIX Division II) at home since the 2014-2015 season.

Series Record: The Blue Jays are 17-5 overall (9-2 at home) versus the Centurions since the 1994-1995 season (not including the 2001-2002 season).  Manor is 3-2 versus Bucks County (the Blue Jays are 3-0 at home) since the Blue Jays joined the NJCAA for the 2008-2009 season.

Next Game: Manor hosts NJCAA Region XX Division II Frederick Community College 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 18, 2020.  The Blue Jays are 2-1 overall (1-0 at home) versus the Cougars.  The Blue Jays lost the previous meeting, on the road, 71-62, on November 1, 2019.  Manor won the previous home match-up, 89-82, on November 25, 2014.
