JENKINTOWN, PA—Manor College (1-3 Overall, 1-0 NJCAA Region XIX Division II) sophomore forward Manuel Alvarez (Reading, PA/Governor Mifflin) came off the bench and led the team with 19 points as the Blue Jays defeated the County College of Morris (0-1, 0-1), 94-78, in its home and Region XIX Division II opener.
Manor led at halftime, 44-40 and outscored Morris in the second half, 50-38, en route to the victory.
Individual Statistical Leaders: Sophomore forward/centerRobert Tucker (Philadelphia, PA/Paul Robeson) scored 16 points and led both teams 10 rebounds. Sophomore guard Anthony Rodriguez (Philadelphia, PA/Frankford) contributed 14 points and sophomore guard/forward Taleek Anderson (Philadelphia, PA/Frankford) added 13 for the Blue Jays.
Morris sophomore forward/center Joshua Morris led the Titans with 19 points. Freshman guard Shemar Robinson contributed 16 points. Freshman Nile Ward added 13 points. Sophomore guard Syhid Daniels scored 12 points and led both teams with four assists for the Titans.

Next Game: Manor hosts NJCAA Region XV Division I Monroe College-New Rochelle 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 11. The Blue Jays are 0-1 versus the Mustangs. This is the first time the two schools have met at Manor. Manor lost the inaugural match-up on the road, 106-94, in the Monroe College Tournament, on November 11, 2017.
