MANOR LOSES SECOND GAME OF DOUBLEHEADER TO MIDDLESEX COUNTY COLLEGE

EDISON, NJ—Middlesex County College (6-8 Overall, 2-3 Region XIX Division III) freshman pitcher Bryan Camelo struck 10 and allowed two hits in his first collegiate start as the Colts shutout the Manor College Blue Jays (1-1, 1-1) in the second game of the doubleheader, 12-0, in 4 ½ innings.

The Colts batted around in the second inning, sending 10 hitters (including the first four to reach safely), and scored six runs.  Middlesex County freshman first baseman James Tyminski's two-out, two-run triple to center, plated freshman right fielder Noah Brisach and sophomore designated hitter William Mitchell to finish off the scoring for the inning.  Middlesex County scored four in the third inning.  The first four batters also reached safely in this inning.  Tyminski's two-out, sacrifice fly scored freshman second baseman Michael Russo to finish off the scoring for the inning.  The Colts scored twice in the fourth. They sent eight hitters to the plate, including the first four to reach safely.

Batting Leaders: Freshman second baseman Nicholas Herrera (Philadelphia, PA/Frankford) singled and walked for Manor.

Tyminski had a triple, sacrifice fly, and knocked in three runs for Middlesex County.  Freshman center fielder Austin Brooks, freshman third baseman Edwin Garcia, Mitchell, and sophomore left fielder Nicholas Viola scored two runs each.

Pitching Leaders: Starting pitcher Sauriel Baez (Philadelphia, PA/Esperanza Charter) (0-1) took the loss for Manor.

Camelo (2-1) pitched a complete game for Middlesex County.

Next Game: Manor hosts its first NJCAA Region XIX and EPAC Division III game in school history when they play the Montgomery County Community College Mustangs (2-3, 0-0 Region XIX Division III, 0-0, EPAC) on Thursday, March 29 at 3:30 p.m. at the Abington Friends School in Jenkintown, Pennsylvania.
