MANOR COLLEGE NAMES TOLEDO AS BASEBALL HEAD COACH

JENKINTOWN, PA—Manor College announces the hiring of Jose Toledo as Baseball Head Coach by Director of Athletics John Dempster.

Toledo is the Founder and President of Young Stars and Director of Light House Baseball.  He has held these positions since 2012.

Toledo was previously the Head Coach for the Francisville A's (2009-2011) and Hunting Park Indians (2007-2008) baseball teams.  He was also a Guest Coach for the ProBaseball High School and Academy in 2012.

Toledo has coached Pop Warner Football.  He also volunteered as a mentor and coach for a Timoteo Sports mentoring program.  Toledo twice received the Timoteo Coach/Mentor-of-The-Year Award in 2015 and 2017.

He graduated from Olney High School in 1995.

Manor College Director of Athletics John Dempster: "Jose Toledo was the obvious choice to be the inaugural Baseball Coach.  His resume is very impressive, but, more important to me, is how much he cares about his players getting a college education.  Baseball has been a huge part of Jose's life, he's coached players of all ages, and is ready to take the next step at the college level.  Jose's specialty is building new programs and making them winners, and, that is exactly what we need here at Manor."

The Blue Jays are members of the National Junior Collegiate Athletic Association (NJCAA) and the Eastern Pennsylvania Athletic Conference (EPAC). They will compete at the Division III level.

Manor begins its inaugural season in March, 2018.
