MANOR COLLEGE'S BA, FORTESCUE, JR. AND LEVY SELECTED ALL-ESAC MEN’S SOCCER FIRST TEAM

NEWTOWN, PA—Manor College (10-5-1 overall, 4-1-1 Eastern States Athletic Conference) sophomore defenseman Mamadou Ba (Philadelphia, PA/Franklin Learning Center) and junior midfielders Eddie Fortescue Jr. (Blue Bell, PA/Wissahickon) and John Levy (Philadelphia, PA/Franklin Towne Charter) were selected All-ESAC Men's Soccer First Team by the Conference's head coaches.

This is the first season that an All-ESAC Men's Soccer Team has been selected.

Ba started and played in 15 matches.  He registered an assist along with four overall shots (three on goal).  Ba started and played in five conference matches.

In 15 matches (all starts), Fortescue Jr. led United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) Division I Men's Soccer in goals (18), points (44), and shots on goal (55).  He finished second in overall shots (73) and tied for second in assists (eight).and game-winning goals (three).  Per match, Fortescue Jr. finished second in points (2.93), overall shots (4.94), and shots on goal (3.53).  He finished third in goals per match (1.20) and assists (0.53).  In five conference matches, Fortescue Jr. led Manor in goals (seven), assists (six), points (20), overall shots (31), and shots on goal (22).

Fortescue Jr. scored a goal in 12 matches this season which is the most by a Manor player since Colville in 2013 (13).  Dating back to the 2021 season, he scored a point in 15 of the last 18 matches.  This is the most by a Blue Jay since Mark Colville in 2012 (15).  Fortescue Jr. has 14 multiple-point matches in the last 18. This is most by a Manor player since Colville had 11 straight in 2013.  He is also the first Blue Jay with 10 goals in a season since Zola Makanda in 2017.  His 18 goals in a season are the most since Colville scored 23 in 2013.  Fortescue Jr. is the first Blue Jay with 30 or points in a season since Colville contributed 68 in 2013.

Fortescue was also voted USCAA Division I Men's Soccer First Team All-American, named USCAA Division I Men's Soccer All-Academic Team, and twice selected USCAA Division I Men's Soccer Player of the Week (October 25-October 31, 2022 and September 20-September 26, 2022).

In 15 matches (all starts), Levy was third in USCAA Division I Men's Soccer in overall shots (55), fourth in assists (seven) and shots on goal (37), tied for 10th in points (19).  His six goals was tied for second on the team.  In five conference matches, Levy was second on Manor in overall shots (23) and shots on goal (16).  He also scored two goals and contributed two assists for six points in five conference matches.

Under Head Coach John Dempster, the Blue Jays finished the season competing in its first USCAA Division I Men's Soccer Small College National Championship Tournament in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
