MANOR COLLEGE SEEDED THIRD IN THE USCAA DIVISION I MEN’S SOCCER SMALL COLLEGE NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT

PITTSBURGH, PA—The Manor College Men's Soccer team (10-3-1 overall, 4-1-1 Eastern States Athletic Conference) are seeded third in the 2022 United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) Division I Men's Soccer Small College National Tournament, as announced by Nate Gurtis, USCAA Assistant Director of Championships and Marketing and BJ Bertges, USCAA Chief Operating Officer.

This is Manor's first National Championship Tournament appearance.

The Blue Jays will play second-seeded and two-time defending National Champion Bryant and Stratton College-Syracuse Bobcats (8-1-1) in Pool B on Friday, November 11 at 12:15 p.m. at the Princess Anne Athletic Complex in Virginia Beach, Virginia.  Manor will finish pool play versus the Salem (West Virginia) University Tigers (7-5-3 as October 31) Saturday, November 12 at 12:15 p.m. at Princess Anne.  The Pool B winner of this match-up will advance to play the Pool A winner for the National Champion on Sunday, November 13 at 5:30 p.m. at the Virginia Beach Sports Complex.

  1. University of Maine-Fort Kent (12-1-0) (A)
  2. Bryant and Stratton College-Syracuse (8-1-1) (B)
  3. Manor College (10-3-1) (B)
  4. Bryant and Stratton College-Rochester (10-4-3) (A)
  5. Atlantis University (10-5-3 as of October 31) (A)
  6. Salem (West Virginia) University (7-5-3 as October 31) (B)

 

Manor's Postseason Tournament History: Manor lost to the Bucks County Community College Centurions in the ESAC Men's Soccer Championship on October 29, 5-4, in double overtime. They were 1-5 overall (1-3 at neutral sites) in four National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Region XIX Division I and III Postseason Tournament appearances between 2011 and 2018.  Manor made 14 Eastern Pennsylvania Collegiate Conference Postseason Tournament appearances between 1993 and 2007.  They won ten EPCC Postseason Conference Tournament and six PCAA Championships.
