MANOR COLLEGE’S FORTESCUE. JR. NAMED USCAA DIVISION I MEN’S SOCCER PLAYER OF THE WEEK

PITTSBURGH, PA—Manor College junior midfielder Eddie Fortescue Jr. (Blue Bell, PA/Wissahickon) was named USCAA Division I Men's Soccer Player of The Week (September 20-26).  He is the first Blue Jay Men's Soccer player to win this USCAA weekly award.

Fortescue Jr. has scored a goal in every match this season.  His five-match goal streak is the most by a Manor player since Mark Colville in 2013 (six).  Dating back to the 2021 season, he has scored a point in eight straight matches.  His eight-match point streak is the most by a Blue Jay since Mark Colville in 2013 (11).

In five matches (all starts) this season, Fortescue Jr. leads Manor in goals (seven), assists (four), points (18), overall shots (33), and shots on goal (26).

Fortescue Jr. is the second Men's Soccer player to win an USCAA Men's Soccer weekly honor.  Jonathan Ventura-Garcia (Philadelphia, PA/Esperanza Academy) was named USCAA Division I Men's Soccer Goalie of The Week for the period October 19-25, 2021.

Under 12th-year Head Coach John Dempster, the Blue Jays are currently 4-1-0 overall (1-0-0 Eastern States Athletic Conference).
