PETERSBURG, VA—The 2022 United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) Men's Division I Basketball Small College National Tournament Quarterfinal preview between the fifth-seeded Manor College Blue Jays Men's Basketball team (10-5 overall, 2-3 Eastern States Athletic Conference) versus the fourth-seeded Bryant and Stratton College-Albany Bobcats (16-6) at 4:00 p.m. at Virginia State University (NCAA Division II) in Petersburg, Virginia. 

Manor will be making its USCAA Men's Division I Basketball Small College National Tournament debut.  Albany will be making its second appearance in its fourth varsity season of competition.  The Bobcats were seeded eighth in the 2019 National Tournament.  They lost to the top-seeded Florida National University, 66-51, in the Quarterfinals on March 7 and third-seeded Stratford University, 68-64, in the Consolation Round on March 8 in Uniontown, Pennsylvania.

This will be first match-up between the two schools.

The Blue Jays were 3-6 overall (1-3 at neutral sites) in six National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Region XIX Division II Postseason Tournament appearances.  They lost its previous Postseason Tournament game in the NJCAA Region XIX Division II Semifinals versus Raritan Valley Community College, 75-66, on February 29, 2020 in Branchburg, New Jersey.  Manor was also 14-14 overall (4-7 at neutral sites) in 14 Eastern Pennsylvania Collegiate Conference (EPCC) Postseason Tournaments between 1995 and 2008.  Since 1995, the Blue Jays are 17-20 (5-10 at neutral sites) overall in 20 Postseason Tournaments.

The winner of this match-up will advance to the Semifinals versus either the top-seeded Paul Quinn College Tigers (23-2) or the eighth-seeded Bluefield State College Big Blues (9-13) on Tuesday, March 8 at 4:00 p.m. at Virginia State in Petersburg.  The loser will either play the third-seeded Bryant and Stratton College-Buffalo Bobcats (22-7) or sixth-seeded The Apprentice School Builders (13-14) in the Consolation Bracket on March 8 at 10:00 a.m. at Virginia State in Petersburg.
