MANOR COLLEGE MEN'S BASKETBALL WINS GAME-SHORTENED ESAC FINALE VERSUS WILLIAMSON COLLEGE OF THE TRADES

MEDIA, PA—Manor College (10-5 overall, 2-3 Eastern States Athletic Conference) sophomore forward Rahmaad Dejarnette (Chester, PA/STEM Academy) scored 13 points as the Blue Jays won a game-shortened match-up, 45-33, versus the Williamson College of the Trades Mechanics (5-10, 0-3).

This game was rescheduled from Tuesday, January 25.

Manor took the lead (9-8) with 15:04 left in the first half on sophomore guard Malik Clark (Philadelphia, PA/Boys' Latin) layup.  This began a 9-0 run over the next 5:36 that concluded with Dejarnette layup with an assist by sophomore guard Eddie Fortescue Jr. (Blue Bell, PA/Wissahickon).  The Blue Jays opened up a 16-8 lead with 9:28 left.  The Mechanics got within four points (17-13) with 7:52 left on senior guard John Mastella's layup and free throw.  Manor went on a 13-6 run between 7:02 and 4:18 remaining in the first half (a span of 2:44).  The run concluded with opening up its largest lead of the half (30-19) on Malik Clark's layup and free throw.  The Blue Jays led 34-25 at halftime.

The Blue Jays opened up another double-digit lead (36-25) with 19:21 remaining on Dejarnette's steal and layup.  Manor's largest lead of the game (41-27) came with 17:51 left in the second half on a pair of Dejarnette free throws.  The Blue Jays opened a 12-point lead (45-33) with 12:36 remaining when freshman forward Enoch Clark (Clearwater, FL/Pinellas Park) converted a layup with an assist by Dejarnette.  The scoring play was started on a Dejarnette steal.  The game was stopped by the officials with 11:53 remaining in the second half.

Manor finished with its first winning regular season won-loss record since the 2017-2018 season (17-11).  They also finished with its first 0.500 road regular season won-loss record (3-3) since the 2017-2018 season (6-6).  The Blue Jays had its first winning road and neutral site won-loss record (5-4) since the 2016-2017 season (9-5).

Next Game: Manor awaits the USCAA Small College Basketball Championship bid announcement for Division I on Thursday, February 24 at 4:00 p.m.  The USCAA Small College Basketball Championship will be at Virginia State University (NCAA Division II) and Richard Bland College of William and Mary (NJCAA Region X Division II) in Petersburg, Virginia from March 6 through March 10.
