JENKINTOWN, PA—Manor College Blue Jays (8-4) sophomore forward Rahmaad Dejarnette (Chester, PA/STEM) led both teams with 29 points (including 21 in the second-half) as the Blue Jays defeated the USCAA Division II Berkeley College (New York) Knights (5-4), 87-86. 

This was Manor's first game since December 4, 2021 (Roadrunner Classic Championship versus Montgomery County Community College).

Berkeley led as much by 12 points (51-39) with 1:05 left in the first half on senior guard Foday Saccoh's jump shot.  The Knights led 53-42 at the half.  Manor freshman forward Enoch Clark (Clearwater, FL/Pinellas Park) led both teams with 16 points.  Junior guard Turray Bynum paced Berkeley with 13 first-half points.  Saccoh added 11 points for the Knights.

After Berkeley sophomore guard Dontel Henry's layup gave the Knight a 76-66 lead with 8:10 left in the second half, Manor responded with 14-3 run over the next 3:33.  The run was completed when Dejarnette's layup (sophomore guard Malik Clark [Philadelphia, PA/Boys' Latin]) with an assist by with 4:37 remaining gave Manor its first lead of the game (80-79) since they led with 12:14 left in the first half (20-19).  His layup with 4:15 left in the second half gave the Blue Jays lead for good (82-81).  Bynum's game-winning shot attempt inside the three-point line at the buzzer went off of the backboard.  Manor outscored Berkeley in the second half, 45-33.  This was the second time this season the Blue Jays won after trailing at halftime (Manor versus Delaware County Community College on December 2, 2021).  Dejarnette led both teams with 21 second-half points.  Henry paced the Knights with 10 points.

Individual Statistical Leaders: Clark scored 23 points and shared the team lead with Dejarnette with nine rebounds.  Dejarnette led Manor with three blocked shots.  Sophomore guard Isaiah Leonard (Philadelphia, PA/Motivation) scored 18 points and paced the Blue Jays with six assists.

Bynum led the Knights with 19 points and Henry scored 16.  Saccoh added 14 points.  Senior guard Tristan Polnitz and freshman forward Raheem Swinton scored 11 points each off the bench for the Knights.

Next Game: Manor play USCAA Division II Bucks County Community College Centurions (5-5 overall, 3-1 Eastern States Athletic Conference) 6:00 p.m. Thursday, January 27 in Jenkintown, Pennsylvania.  This game is a make-up from Thursday, January 13.  The Blue Jays are 17-6 overall (9-2 at home) versus the Centurions since the 1994-1995 season (not including the 2001-2002 season).  Manor has won three straight at home versus Bucks County.  The Centurions won the previous match-up, 81-77, on November 11, 2021, in Newtown, Pennsylvania.  Manor won the previous home match-up, 89-80, on February 8, 2020.
