MANOR COLLEGE MEN'S SOCCER LOSES TO  BERKELEY COLLEGE (NEW JERSEY) IN DOUBLE OVERTIME

JENKINTOWN, PA—Berkeley College (New Jersey) (5-0-0) forward Eliseo Arevalo's penalty kick goal six minutes into the second overtime gave the Knights a 3-2 victory versus the Manor College Blue Jays (1-1-0).

The Knights scored the only first half goal when midfielder Michael Mogollon's long pass went across the field to forward Esteban Pedrueza.  Pedrueza's dribbled downfield and his shot from outside the 18-yard line went in right-hand corner of the net (30:00).  The Berkeley (New Jersey) outshot Manor, nine (four on goal) to six (three on goal) in the first half. 

Following a Blue Jays foul between the 18 and midfield, Arevalo's direct kick went to defenseman Jahey Nyass around the six.  Nyass' shot went into the left-hand corner of the net (52:00).  Knights' goalkeeper Klae Nicholson's kick after a save went to the Manor side of the field.  A chip pass from one of the Blue Jays' defensemen on its own side of the field went to freshman midfielder Juff Exilus (Maple Shade, NJ/Columbia) on the Knight's side of the field outside of the 18.  Exlius' shot inside deflected off of Nicholson (who came out of the net) and went into the right side of the net (60:00).  Manor tied the game following a Berkeley (New Jersey) goal kick.  Exilus' chip pass from near the midfield circle on the Knight's side of the field went to freshman midfielder/forward Rolph Miot (Philadelphia, PA/Northeast) outside of the 18.  Miot went around two Berkeley (New Jersey) defensemen inside the 18 and his shot went into the left-hand corner of the net (85:00)  The Knights (New Jersey) outshot the Blue Jays in the second half, 13 (seven on goal) to 10 (six on goal). 

Berkeley (New Jersey) outshot Manor in the first overtime, three (one on goal) to two (one on goal).  The Knights had all four shots (all on goal) in the second overtime.  Berkeley (New Jersey) outshot Manor for the match, 29-18.

Series Record:  This is the first match of the series for both schools.

Next Match:  Manor hosts NJCAA Region XIX Division III Montgomery County Community College in Jenkintown, Pennsylvania at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 18.  The Blue Jays are 6-1-1 (3-0-1 at home) versus the Mustangs, including six straight victories.  Manor won the previous overall match-up, 3-2, in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania on September 20, 2018.  The Blue Jays won the previous match at home, 5-1, on October 7, 2014.
